Henry Ford said “Don’t find a fault. Find a remedy.” That statement can cover a lot of territory in our business lives as well as personal lives. I have often said that one way out of a problem is to focus on the solution, which is a similar take. The next step is tenacity. People who know me know that I don’t give up. I’m someone who stays the course and sometimes it can take decades.
One thing I’ve learned that can be helpful to you is that I expect problems. Nothing worth doing is easy, and while I come to the office every day with positive expectations, I also know it’d be a strange day if there weren’t any problems to deal with. So learn to expect them. Here’s another tip: don’t see problems so much as problems as challenges. That can change your attitude about them and give you an edge in finding a remedy.
