Critical reflection is necessary in whatever we do. Even the humble hawker will tallies up his take at the end of his day. If his wares sold well, he will consider why and if they didn’t he will also contemplates why? On that basis, he will consider how to improve his service and encourages himself to try harder the next day.
It is this reflection and reassessment on a daily habit, of seemingly small matter that may help you to grow and develop. This can require considerable practice. Surely what leads from the ordinary to success is the steady accumulation of little routine things we hardly ever think about.
